Chin fillers are a minimally invasive way of enhancing your chin by adding subtle volume. A stronger chin can make your entire facial structure appear well-balanced and harmonious. With chin fillers, you can create a more defined chin in a quick and simple procedure with no downtime.
Chin fillers are a popular non-surgical alternative to chin implant surgery. If you are self-conscious about your chin, you may have considered chin fillers or chin implant surgery, or a “genioplasty.” If you have a weak or recessed chin, dermal fillers can create greater definition between your lower face and neck. By enhancing your chin volume, your profile is improved.
Your procedure will take place in an outpatient setting at one of our clinics. After applying a topical numbing cream, your physician will inject your fillers into specific parts of your chin to achieve the desired results. The number of injections will vary from person to person. You may experience some pressure or discomfort during the injections, but most people do not feel any pain. Your procedure should take about 30-60 minutes to perform, after which you can return to your normal activities without any downtime.
Results are typically visible immediately, although you may experience some initial redness or swelling. This should resolve by itself after a day or two. To minimize any side effects, avoid touching your chin area, and stay out of the sun for 24-48 hours. Ice packs can be used to help minimize any soreness or discomfort. While it varies from person to person, results will typically last for 15 to 24 months.
